New MAN container vehicles in Estonian Rescue Board fleet

Last week Estonian rescue board celebrated their 25th anniversary. During the celebration on 25th of May rescue squad demonstrated at Lasnamäe department new equipment and blessing was given to new trucks.

In partnership with European Union Cohesion Fund 60 percent of outdated tank- and container trucks will be replaced. Total volume of the deal is 27,8 million Euros and it will enable to replace 86 vechiles with new ones. New vechiles enable rescue squad to react more effectively and much faster to emergency situations and save costs. 

In container trucks procurement best offer was made by Keil M.A LLC, which delivered eight MAN TGS 26.360 6x4 BB base trucks (full weight 26 000kg), which are now already in local rescue squads across Estonia.

Officially MAN container trucks with EURO5 engine are named as Andres. Trucks have 360bhp, automated TipMatic gearbox, hook lift and custom equipment for rescue squad.
